Financial Support for Students

All interested students are invited to attend the Strings 2000 Conference. Although we are charging a fixed registration fee, a limited amount of funds may become available to support students (for registration, accommodations and travel). To apply for financial support, please provide:

1. A cover letter with the following information
   • Your name
   • Your university or institute
   • Your email address
   • Appropriate contact information (address, telephone number and FAX)
2. A brief statement indicating why you are interested in attending and why you are requesting financial support
3. A letter of recommendation from your thesis advisor or someone that is familiar with your studies

Typical student grants will be awarded at the level of about $400 US, and notification will be sent by June 1. We will attempt to accommodate all reasonable requests received prior to this time. Any application received after June 1 will receive consideration only so long as funds remain available.
