Weather

July is summer in Michigan, but the weather can vary. In the mornings it can be 60° F, by noon 90° F. Rain can also occur at any time. The following links may be useful:

Shopping

Shopping around the campus area is mostly concentrated around either State Street (northwest of Central Campus) or South University (southeast of Central Campus). Many of the nearby stores cater to the student population.

Somewhat further away, the Main Street area (Downtown, 5 or 6 blocks west of Central Campus) and Kerrytown area (5 or 6 blocks northwest of Central Campus) are both home to many fine restaurants and stores.

The Briarwood Mall is several miles south of campus several, near where State Street crosses over Interstate 94 (see map).

ATMs

As you might expect, there are Automatic Teller Machines all over town. We would just like to point out that there are ATM's in the basement of both the Michigan League and the Michigan Union which are run by the U-M Credit Union and therefore carry no extra access fee.
